Training

John has considerable experience providing specialist training in the field of autism including high quality Autism and Asperger Syndrome training courses, support, mentoring and a highly successful online programme. He specialises in providing on-site training for organisations, educational settings, health care and many more. So please contact him with your requirements or to discuss possibilities.

The courses cover a wide range of themes and levels including an Introduction to Autism and Asperger Syndrome, Behaviours that Challenge, Sensory Differences, Autism in the Workplace, Developing Friendships, Transition Planning, Setting up Support Groups & Networks, Life Skills and Social Skills for those on the Autistic Spectrum, and, of course, customised events relevant to a particular group, organisation or learning environment. All courses can be delivered with or without an integrated assessment process. And all courses come with full training materials, resources and access to online materials and resources post-training. Personal perspectives are available as courses, short talks and conferences speeches and keynotes. These include, ‘An adult’s perspective’, ‘A female’s perspective’ and ‘Like Father, Like Daughter?’ a joint perspective which can be delivered on its own or as part of the Asperger Syndrome and Girls training course.

John is also delighted to be associated and involved with the highly specialised and extensively researched Sensory Integration Project offering a unique sensory integration balancing process with a user interface available online and training available for professionals and parents/carers.

Additional courses include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (in child and adult versions), Pathological Demand Avoidance Syndrome,  Girls on the Autistic Spectrum, and other programmes and courses that can be custom-designed for a particular audience or end user.

In response to requests from a number of organisations and settings, John has recently completed the design, development and piloting of an Advanced Autism Programme for professionals and others with relevant experience and knowledge.

All training courses come with comprehensive documentation and post-course access to further information and resources online. Courses can also be delivered with an assessed element if required.
